Stopped here for lunch on the way home 1000 or so miles east. Burgers were very well prepared. French fries were fantastic. We ate breakfast here several years ago when traveling the opposite way. They are well prepared also. If you are impatient, then bring someone to talk to or a book to read. Wait time for the food might be a little more than at places that just sling the food out as fast as they can. But not too long. And it's worth the wait.

Stayed at this location on a softball trip to Trinidad. Breakfast was super yummy, Denver scramble. Coffee was fantastic. Service was outstanding. Jay came out from the grill and asked how our food was! Extremely personal and friendly atmosphere! Highly recommend this fun hidden gem!

Great experience! The place is covered in history from the area and the food was awesome! The servers took great care of us and Bert loved the drinks

Of course we always review the local Restaurants when traveling. The reviews were so good we just had to try it. Sweet atmosphere, almost every table used. (Good sign) We only had to wait 5 minutes to put 2 tables together, there were 6 of us. 3 adults, 3 children. Loved the owner, he placed dinosaurs and toys on the table since our grandkids were 3-10. This isn’t his first rodeo no doubt. He also put a basket of movie time popcorn in the center to snack on. Food was excellent, hot, prepared fresh. Loved the thick bacon, our daughter said it was the best BLT she ever had. We definitely recommend, very friendly staff!

Great full breakfast & variety of menu choices. The staff/owners are friendly, attentive & accommodating. I love a really good breakfast and this was exactly that. My eggs were cooked perfectly over-medium, the home fries were nicely seasoned, the bacon was crisp, smokey & flavorful & the sourdough toast was fabulous! It's located in a historical building & the decor embraces the local coal mining history of Trinidad. Overall great experience. Highly recommend!

Delicious! Great customer service, the food was beyond good and I've always enjoyed the decor in this place, so much charm and character!

Stopped at this spot while in trinidad and the food was delicious. We tried the pork belly that was like cotton candy and the buffalo wrap was really good and the chili fries were delicious

We found this place a few years ago, and now we make a point of stopping every time we pass through Trinidad. The service is not the fastest, but they are nice. It is a nice place to sit and relax, and it gives us a break from the car, so we don’t mind waiting a little while for the food. We like the atmosphere because they make a point of being kid-friendly, and because everybody is so nice. Most important, the food is excellent. I have tried the burgers and the chicken sandwich. They also have a full bar with a good selection of craft beers on tap.
